She's starting her slow approach to the child before Barry can stop talking, if only because the people surrounding and closing in aren't really helping the situation.

Jess looks over at Barry with a quiet smile before turning her attention back to the little girl, trying to see if she has any visible lacerations or shineys in her hair from the glass which, oddly enough seems to have encircled her on the asphalt. "It's one of the first things I made the attempt to learn out of my undergrad. I want every kid to have the same level of care from me, whatever their challenge might be." Deaf, blind, developmental.

"I have a feeling you have an idea." Barry always has ideas. That was definitely part of his charm.
