Jess was going off to be an amazing doctor and Barry had gained acceptance to Midway to become a forensic specialist. They were both off chasing their dreams and while he sometimes let his thoughts drift back to those days in college, life kept him pretty focused.
Then the particle accelerator exploded and life grew ever more complicated.
"No, it pretty much keeps us on our toes," Barry agrees. Cisco has wandered off to annoy Harry and with their coffee finished, it's time to continue their tour of Central City. "Hey, there's a festival going on down near the middle of the city, do you want to check it out? Plenty of food booths, good beer, we can have lunch and a walking tour of the city?"
Yes. He knows he'd just eaten breakfast and before leaving Cisco not-so-subtly shoves a bag full of protein bricks at him. "Hypoglycemic," Barry offers, tucking the bars into his messenger bag. "And Cisco is a total mother hen."
